We want you to get the most out of your Farm Fresh Delivery. Here are some great tips for Members.

If you have questions about our products or service, please contact Customer Service. Office Hours are 9 am until 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

#1 Choose a Standing Order that best suits your needs and preferences.

Your Standing Order is the produce and groceries that you want to receive for every scheduled delivery. Every member is required to have a produce bin in their standing order; however, you may decide to add groceries such as milk and eggs. Some members enjoy customizing their bins and browsing our Farmers’ Market for new products every week. While others like the ease of receiving the seasonal mix of produce in their standard bin with their weekly staples like eggs, bread, granola, etc. Select your Standing Order items with your specific needs in mind. If you would like help designing a Standing Order that matches your preferences, please contact Customer Service.  We can walk you through the various options and how to’s of setting up your order.

#2 Modify your Current Order during the customization times.

Your Current Order is the delivery for the upcoming week. You can see the delivery date for the Current Order at the top of the page. By default it contains the produce bin and groceries from your Standing Order. Any aspect of your Current Order can be changed between Thursday at 3:00 and Monday at noon. You can also customize your produce bin at this time.

#3 Choose the best delivery spot for your green bin.

You can decide where you want your bin to be placed upon delivery. Add something like “east side deck” or “back sun porch” in the Delivery Instructions on the Registration Information page of your account. This lets the delivery driver know where to put your bin and pickup your empty bins and bags. Choose a place that is out of direct sunlight, under cover, and out of street view if possible. This will help keep your bin cool, dry, and safe.

#4 Store your produce properly to extend freshness and reduce waste.

Different types of fresh produce like to be stored in different ways. Moisture, temperature, and sunlight play an important role in the freshness, nutrients, and “shelf life” of fruits, vegetables, herbs, fungi, etc. The following links have some great tips for storing and freezing fresh produce:

#5 Make sure you receive emails to keep up to date and receive important reminders.

You will receive an email every week to remind you about your order and keep you informed about our service, vendors, and products. Use an email account that you use on a regular basis, and keep your email address updated. Add cincyinfo@farmfreshdelivery to your Safe Senders List to keep the emails from going into your Junk or Spam folders. You can choose which emails you want to receive on the Registration Information page of your account. Click here for more information about our Email Communication.

#6 Use our weekly Healthy Times newsletter to plan for next’s weeks order.

The Healthy Times is emailed every week to keep you informed about our service and products and help you plan your order for next week. It includes information about suppliers and products, weekly specials, local food events, and nutrition news. The recipes feature the produce available for the next week so you know exactly what to order to try these tasty dishes. If you are not scheduled for an order the next week, don’t worry. You will still get the Healthy Times so you don’t miss anything. You may even decide to add an order on that week to take advantage of a seasonal item or a weekly special.

#7 Return your paper bags, insulated bags, and ice packs in your bin.

When you unpack your Farm Fresh Delivery, put the paper bags, insulated bags, and ice packs back into the green bin. Reduce waste and conserve resources by returning the brown paper bags, insulated bags, and ice packs. Farm Fresh Delivery will reuse or recycle this packaging whenever possible.

#8 Add your scheduled deliveries to your calendar, planner, or blackberry.

Once you have been activated and have chosen a delivery schedule (weekly or biweekly) mark your delivery days on a calendar. This will help remind you to customize your upcoming order and anticipate any deliveries that should be suspended. Click here for more information on skipping a delivery.

#9 Make sure your order meets the minimum of $35.

In order to receive your Farm Fresh Delivery, you must meet the minimum order of $35. Orders below the minimum will be charged a delivery fee. Members who have chosen the Fruit, Vegetable, and Grocery Bin ($25) must add $10 in produce or groceries every week to avoid this fee. We recommend that your Standing Order meets the $35 minimum so that you can rest assured you will never be charged a delivery fee, even if you forget to modify your upcoming order.

#10 Temporarily inactivate your account when you plan to skip deliveries for an indefinite amount of time.

You may decide to suspend your deliveries for a couple of months. Some customers take a break in the summer to harvest their gardens or travel with their family. Just contact Customer Service to temporarily inactive your account. Whenever you are ready to receive deliveries again, request reactivation online or just give us a call or email.
